Bitcoin, Blockchain, Ethereum and cryptocurrencies are topics of much discussion lately. We at OverStory have been following these important developments to try to understand what they're all about.
One thing that's become clear is that blockchain and cryptocurrency are related but not the same. While digital money will almost certainly have tremendous impact on the world in general and financial markets in particular, it is the underlying blockchain technology that may ultimately have the more profound impact.
We wrote up a set of slides internally to better understand what blockchain is and is not. It's a high-level summary that should give you a grounding in where blockchain came from and what it can be used for in the future. It's not detailed, intentionally, so as not to obscure the important concepts with the rather daunting technical foundation that makes blockchain tick.
If you have questions about blockchain, we have some answers. Contact us to see how we can help you get a handle on the exciting, and slightly weird, world of blockchain, ethereum, digital money, distributed ledgers and ICOs. You may be surprised at the many ways blockchain can be put to work for you.
